Leonardo Ortigara is from Santa Catarina works in the city of Balneário Camboriú and Itajaí. He has had a lifelong desire to practice medicine.
Dr. Ortigara graduated as a doctor at the age of 23 from the Lutheran University of Brazil in 2003, and completed a residency in General Surgery between 2004/2005 and a residency in Urology between 2006/2008, both carried out at Hospital Nossa Senhora da Conceição in Porto Alegre – RS .
“Medicine together with technology is something I believe in and invest in. That’s why I chose to do the Robotic Surgery Fellowship in 2008 at Instituto La Floresta under the responsibility of Dr. Renee Sotelo,” said Dr. Ortigara.
“Today I can say that my main specialty within urology are minimally invasive procedures and surgeries.
Since then, I have been holding congresses, workshops, courses and national and international updates to maintain the best possible care, as well as offer the best therapeutic option to my patients.
Since 2018 I have been practicing Dr Paul Perito’s penile prosthesis implant technique. This technique restores the sexual and life quality of my patients, who even treated it in the comfort of the day hospital that my clinic has.
With great satisfaction I am bringing the UroFill technique to Brazil, again under the tutelage of Dr. Paul Perito. This minimally invasive technique, in addition to correcting penile curvatures, acts directly on the patient’s self-esteem, since he wants an aesthetic gain, a penile thickening, thus giving him more confidence.”
